What Are You Waiting For?

The Inner Guide

You don’t need permission.

You need one small step.

The Cost of Waiting

Waiting feels safe, but it’s not neutral. Every day spent waiting on the “right” conditions is a day spent further from the thing you actually want. Nothing about staying still moves you closer to an outcome. Action does that work, not time.

The Condition You Set

Most of us don’t realize we’re waiting until we name the condition attached to it. I’ll start when I’m more confident. I’ll start when the timing feels right. I’ll start when I have more money. These sound like practical requirements, but most of the time they’re just a way to delay without having to call it that. And the hard truth is, the condition rarely resolves itself. It just gets replaced by a new one.

What Readiness Really Looks Like

Readiness isn’t a feeling that arrives on its own. It’s a decision you make before you feel it, not after. The people who move forward aren’t the ones who finally feel ready, they’re the ones who stopped waiting to feel that way.

Journal prompts

  • Complete this sentence: “I am waiting to/for ___. I’ll start when ___.”
  • Is this something you can actually control? If not, you may be waiting on something that isn’t coming.
  • What’s one small action, something you could finish in ten minutes, that moves you closer right now?

Thank you for being here, and for taking the time to connect with your inner guide.
